May The Fourth Be With You 4K - Elizabethton
This event in Elizabethton, Tennessee is a Star Wars themed running and walking event held on May 4th at Covered Bridge Park. It includes an on-site children’s dash for ages 5 to 9, an in-person 4K run or walk, and a virtual 4K option. All participants receive a t-shirt and a medal, and the first 100 registered participants receive a light saber. A costume contest is part of the event.

Awards are given for overall top finishers and age groups, with additional categories for best costume by male, female, boy, girl, and couple or group. The children’s Darth Dash has awards for the top three boys and girls. Age group awards include standard ranges from 10-14 up to 70 and older, plus masters and grandmasters classifications.
Packet pickup is available at local locations in the days before the event. The course starts beside Covered Bridge Park, proceeds through the bridge, turns onto South Riverside Drive, then Oak Street, follows Tweetsie Trail to a U-turn at 1.24 miles, and returns to the finish line.
