Jingle 5K, Johnson City
The Jingle 5K is a festive Christmas 5K event in Downtown Johnson City, TN scheduled for December 10, 2026. The event is organized by The Goose Chase and presented by Brightspeed Fiber. Runners and walkers are welcome, and the course runs through Founder’s Park and King Commons Park. The exact start and finish area will be announced.
Event options include:
- 5K: a community 5K open to runners and walkers
- Jingle Bell Dash: a kid’s race for younger children
- Virtual option: complete the distance remotely and submit proof of completion
All finishers receive a commemorative ornament. A long-sleeve event shirt is available in sizes Youth Small through Adult 3X; registering by December 1, 2026 guarantees a chosen size while supplies last. Virtual participants receive the same race items and may choose packet pickup, local pickup, or mailed delivery for a shipping fee.
Awards are given for overall top finishers, masters and grandmasters, and age-group podiums, with specific age brackets listed for competitive awards. The Jingle Bell Dash includes top-three awards for boys and girls in its age range. Volunteers are requested to staff the course, with about 25 volunteers needed for the event.
