May the 4th Be With You 4 Miler
The May the 4th Be With You 4 Miler is a running event taking place in Fort Lauderdale on May 4, 2026. The event is centered around a Star Wars theme and features a 4 Mile distance. The course begins and ends at the Funky Buddha brewery.
Registered participants receive a variety of event-themed items, including a custom finisher medal, a commemorative t-shirt, and a commemorative plastic cup. The entry fee also covers one beverage; participants aged 21 and over may choose a beer, while those under the legal drinking age or those who prefer a non-alcoholic option will be provided with a soft drink.
The event includes several social and competitive elements beyond the run itself. There is a costume contest with specific categories for participants dressed as Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Darth Vader, the Mandalorian, Yoda, or various Droids. Following the costume contest, the event hosts a Wookie Growl contest and live music featuring trivia sessions. Awards are presented to the overall top three male and top three female finishers.
Packet pickup is available on the day prior to the race at the Funky Buddha from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as well as on the afternoon of the event. All contests and post-race activities are reserved for registered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
