MAW's Cause 5K and 1K Run/Walk
This event takes place on October 18, 2026 in Norris, Tennessee at 5 Norris Square, Norris TN 37828. It offers three participation options that take place on the same day: an in-person 5K that is timed, an in-person 1K Fun Run Walk, and a virtual 5K completed from the participant's chosen location.
- 5K in person timed, hilly city course; walkers strollers and pets welcome
- 5K virtual complete 5K at participant location on October 18 shirt mailed week of race
- 1K Fun Run two loops around The Commons flatter course strollers and pets welcome
Registration opens August 4, 2026 and closes September 24, 2026. Adult registration fee is $35. Registrations completed by September 24 guarantee a race shirt for in person pickup; virtual participants receive shirts by mail the week of the event.
MAW's Cause was founded in 2017 and became a 501(c)(3) organization in 2018. The organization focuses on SIDS and SUDC awareness education and research support, operates a newborn Halo Sleep Sack program at local hospitals, and remembers children taken too soon during the 5K event.
