Matters of the Heart Nashville
Matters of the Heart Nashville is a community-focused athletic event held at Hadley Park in Nashville, Tennessee. This event takes place as a pre-Juneteenth celebration with the goal of fostering inclusion and health within the North Nashville community. The event offers multiple participation options, including both in-person and virtual formats for various distances.
The event features the following distances:
- 9K (5.6 Miles)
- 1 Mile Community Walk
The courses are contained entirely within the grounds of Hadley Park. Participants in the 9K distance complete 10 loops of the designated course, while those in the 1 Mile event complete 3 loops. Participants are responsible for keeping track of their own lap count during the activity. To maintain safety and flow on the path, participants are instructed to stay to the right except when passing others.
Registered participants receive a participant shirt and a custom finisher medal. For the 9K race, overall prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in both male and female categories. Award ceremonies occur within 30 minutes of the final eligible winner crossing the finish line, and recipients must be present at the venue to claim their prizes.
