Event overview
Mattea's Joy SuperHero 5K takes place on May 2, 2026, at Perry Farm Park, 459 Kennedy Drive, Bradley, IL 60915. The event raises funds for "Super Hero" families with children who are hospitalized. Participants are encouraged to wear Super Hero costumes, and organizers offer a way to nominate an Honored Kid to be featured on a course sign. The race will be chip timed and winners receive a custom Mattea's Joy medal.

Entry, fees and awards
Pre-registration fees are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under; an online processing fee applies. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 13. Day-of-race registration is available at a higher fee. Awards include top three times in each age category: under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and over 60. Costume awards are given for Best individual, Best group or family, and Best kid costume. Sponsorship and fundraising materials are available from the organizers.
