Matt St.James 5k Run/Walk
The Matt St.James 5K is a community running and walking event held on the Matt St.James cross country trails in Rochester, NY on August 22, 2026. The main event is a 5-kilometer run/walk on the trail system located at 2301 Westside Drive. A free 1-kilometer kids run follows the 5K; the kids run does not include a t-shirt.
The 5K uses chip timing and is USATF sanctioned. Participants who pre-register for the 5K will receive a T-shirt; registrants after the pre-registration period will receive a T-shirt while supplies last. Additional T-shirts are available for purchase, with standard and larger size pricing noted.
Entry fees vary by registration period: $25 per person for pre-registration through July 31, $30 per person August 1-21, and $35 on race day. Awards will be presented for the 5K in the following age divisions: 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. If the event is cancelled, no awards will be given.
The event supports David’s Refuge, a nonprofit that provides respite experiences, wellness opportunities, and community support for families and caregivers of children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
