Race-day operations and course notes
The swim course runs clockwise and uses a time trial start with athletes entering the water approximately every three seconds. Transition opens on race morning and all athletes will be body marked. The duathlon uses a shotgun run start on the run path to the right of the beach away from the finish line.
The bike course requires an uphill exit from transition, then about 1.6 miles to reach Highway E; short course athletes complete two loops and long course athletes complete four loops. A timing box will be used on the bike course and a bike course map is provided in athlete packets.
Aid stations are placed on the run: short course athletes pass two water stations and long course athletes pass five. Age-group and overall awards for men and women are presented for both short and long distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
