About the race
Massey Meadow Madness is a trail running event on September 26, 2026 at the Massey Meadow Trail Head in Dry Fork Canyon, within the Uinta Mountains of Ashley National Forest. The event includes a half marathon and a 10K and follows trails with views of the Dry Fork Canyon Flume Trail and the fall foliage of Massey Meadow. The start and finish are at the Massey Meadow area, a short drive from Vernal city. Distances: - Half Marathon: 13.3 miles; elevation gain 1,533 ft - 10K: 6.2 miles; elevation gain 839 ft The half marathon is a loop route.
Several aid and water stations are positioned along each course at the following mile markers. Half marathon aid stations: 1.75, 4.3, 6.9, 8.3, 10.3, 12.1; finish at 13.3 miles. 10K aid stations: 1.75, 3.15, 5.2; finish at 6.2 miles.
Course KML and GPX files and Gaia GPS maps are provided for both distances. When a course record is broken, the athlete who sets the new course record receives a cash prize. Cash awards for new course records are listed as $100 for the half marathon and $50 for the 10K, with prizes awarded to both male and female runners when a record is set.
