Massey Meadow Madness
The Massey Meadow event takes place at the Massey Meadow Trail Head located in Dry Fork Canyon. Participants run through the Uinta Mountains within the Ashley National Forest. The race center is situated a short drive from the city of Vernal, Utah.
The event features two primary trail distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The Half Marathon is a trail loop course that follows the Flume Trail. It includes a total elevation gain and loss of 1,533 feet. For safety and hydration, there are six aid and water stations positioned at miles 1.75, 4.3, 6.9, 8.3, 10.3, and 12.1. The 10K course involves an elevation gain and loss of 839 feet, with three aid stations located at miles 1.75, 3.15, and 5.2.
The landscape consists of mountain trails with views of the canyon and autumn foliage. Race packets are distributed at the Start-Finish area on the morning of the event. The organization offers a cash prize of $100 for both male and female runners who establish a new course record. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
