Massapequa Firecracker 5K Run/Walk
The 44th Annual Massapequa Firecracker 5K Run/Walk takes place on June 14, 2026 in Massapequa Park, NY. The event includes a separate kids fun run and supports Massapequa High School Track Scholarships. Registration is not yet open.

The 5K is USATF certified. The course runs from the corner of Park and Clark Boulevards, north on Park Boulevard, left on Walker Street into the Preserve, south on the bike path, left onto Clark Boulevard, and right on Lake Shore Drive to the finish at Brady Park.
Amenities listed for participants include a dry-fit T-shirt for all registrants, cold towels for 5K finishers, kids entertainment such as clowns and face painting, baked goods for finishers, raffle prizes, and a complimentary beverage for runners over 21 at a local Tap Room after the race.
Awards are given to top overall and masters finishers, age group top three placings across standard age divisions, top wheelchair finishers, and a top resident prize. A $100 bonus is offered for a new course record; current record times are 14:28 for men and 17:11 for women. Medals are provided to all Fun Run finishers.
Bib pickup is available the day before at Runner’s Edge in Farmingdale and on race day at Brady Park. Bib lookup and same-day bib number texting are provided. Live results, free video, and same-day finish line photos are offered, with additional photos available on Facebook. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
