Massapequa Firecracker 5K Run/Walk 2026
The 44th annual Massapequa Firecracker 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for June 14, 2026 at Brady Park in Massapequa Park, New York. The event includes a USATF certified 3.1 mile course and a separate youth distance for children.

The race is sanctioned by USATF Long Island and is an individual scoring race in the USATF-LI Grand Prix. Net proceeds fund Massapequa High School track scholarships.
Amenities listed for participants include a high quality dry-fit T-shirt for all registrants, cold towels for 5K finishers, baked goods provided by All Round Foods, and children’s entertainment such as clowns, balloon animals, and face painting. Raffle prizes are offered and runners over 21 receive a complimentary Blue Point pint at the Tap Room after the race. Medals are awarded to all finishers of the Fun Run.
Awards are planned for top overall male and female finishers, top masters, top residents, age group placings across standard categories, and top wheelchair finishers. Top overall and top masters winners will receive running shoes from Runner’s Edge. A monetary bonus is offered for a new course record.
Bib pickup is available the day before at Runner’s Edge in Farmingdale and on race day at Brady Park. Registration fees are non refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
