Masich Mile
The Masich Mile is a track event hosted by Prince George Road Runners at Masich Place Stadium, 2121 Massey Drive. The event returned in 2018 after a one-year hiatus and was the first public event on the refurbished track.
The August meet features several track formats intended for family participation:
- 1 mile Fun Milers
- 800 m Kids Race
- 1 mile Fast Milers
- 4x400 m Relay
The mile is run on the track and has two separate starts: one for faster runners and one for those expecting a slower pace. The 4x400 m relay has teams of four each running one lap in succession. The 800 m kids race is open to children and parents. Route difficulty is listed as easy; surface is track.
Entry details: PGRR members participate free but must register to receive a bib. Early registration for the mile is $15; day of registration is $20. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Running spikes are not allowed. Dogs and headphones are not permitted due to liability and safety. For volunteering or more information, contact the race director. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
