Marysville Marathon Festival
The Marysville Marathon Festival is a two day trail running event in Marysville, Victoria, held on 7 and 8 November 2026. Courses start and finish in the town centre at Gallipoli Park and use surrounding mountain trails, river tracks and forest roads.
The route follows sections of the Steavenson River and passes the Steavenson Falls. Runners encounter forest tracks, fern gullies, clear rivers and multiple waterfall and lookout sections. Longer distances include sustained mountain climbs that reach panoramic viewpoints before descending toward river valleys.
The festival runs a range of course distances across both days and includes family and community-focused activities. It was created after the Black Saturday bushfires to encourage visitors to return and to support local businesses, community groups and volunteers. The event is the fifth and final race in the Trailsplus Mountain Series and contributes to community causes by donating one dollar from each entry to Canteen Victoria; Trailsplus has contributed more than $90,000 to Canteen Victoria to date.
