Marysville Marathon Festival
The Marysville Marathon Festival takes place in Marysville, Victoria over the weekend of 7 to 8 November 2026. Trailsplus hosts the annual event, which began in 2009 and has supported local recovery efforts and community groups since then. Volunteers and clubs help run the event and raise funds for local services including the Marysville CFA and SES.
The festival uses valley trails and forest tracks that pass rivers, waterfalls and areas of native forest. Routes travel alongside the Steavenson River and Steavenson Falls and pass through the Taggerty River valley, Red Hill and Gallipoli Park. Runners and walkers can experience forest sections such as Treefern Gully and scenic lookouts including Keppel Lookout, with lyrebird habitat noted on the ranges.

- 21 km half marathon
- 42 km marathon
- 50 km ultramarathon
- 100 km overnight ultrarun
Saturday features shorter family and mountain races, including a 1.5 km kids race and 7 km and 14 km King and Queen of the Mountain routes to Keppel Lookout. The 100 km race begins on Saturday night and continues into Sunday. The festival emphasizes community participation, volunteer support and running across varied trail terrain.
