Mary Parker Memorial Run, Walk, Wag 5K
This memorial 5K takes place in Bar Harbor, Maine, at 21 Park Street on October 3, 2026. The event offers both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Registration for the in-person event opens May 13 and for the virtual event opens June 24; both registration periods close October 1. The registration fee is $25.
The event honors a former Transportation Coordinator who served seven years with Island Connections before her battle with cancer. Runners, walkers, and leashed dogs are welcome on the course. Check-in begins at 8:00 AM the morning of the event.
All proceeds support Island Connections, which provides transportation and other services to help older adults and people with disabilities on Mount Desert Island and the surrounding islands.
