Martha's Run 10K
Martha's Run is an annual community event held in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The event takes place on the tree-lined streets of the neighborhood and serves as a fundraiser for The Martha Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Proceeds from the event are used to fund the construction and renovation of local playground projects in the Pittsburgh area.
The event features several different distances and activities:
- 10k run through the hilly terrain of Mt. Lebanon.
- 2-Mile Fun Run for participants of all ages.
- 1-Mile Memorial Walk which is open to the public.
- Children's Races held on the Mt. Lebanon High School track.
The 10k course is equipped with two water stops and a 5k split clock. Mile marks are indicated in orange spray paint on the road. Intersection monitors are positioned along the route to assist with safety. After the completion of the races, an awards ceremony is held featuring food and water. Medals are provided at the finish line.
Specific awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in various age and gender categories. The law enforcement awards are designated as the Sam Hicks Memorial Awards. Registration and packet pick-up are available on the Friday before the race at a local running store and on race morning at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center. Recommended parking is located at the Dixon Field parking lot, which provides access to Cedar Blvd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
