Marshall Run
The Marshall Run is a memorial athletic event held in Newaygo, Michigan. It takes place at Riverfront Park Phase II, located behind Wisner Canoe Rentals. The event is held in memory of Trooper Kevin M. Marshall, who passed away in the line of duty in 2003. All financial proceeds from the event are donated to the Michigan Special Olympics through the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR).
The event features a single distance option:
- 5k Run/Walk
The course follows an out and back route through the local area. Participants will encounter one significant hill during the run. The registration fee includes a t-shirt for every participant.
Awards are presented to several categories of finishers. Recognition is given to the overall fastest male and female participants, as well as the top finishers in the masters category. The event also features a specific award category for public safety personnel. Additionally, medals or prizes are provided to the top three male and female finishers within each designated age group.
