Marshall Rec Indoor Triathlon and Kids Splash and Dash
The Marshall Recreation Center hosts an annual indoor triathlon and a separate kids swim-run event on March 6, 2027 at 402 Thundering Herd Drive, Huntington, WV 25755, US.
The Indoor Triathlon includes pool swimming, indoor cycling on spin bikes, and treadmill running. Registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes March 4, 2027. Registration fee for the adult/youth triathlon is $30. Distances:
- Adults: 300 yard swim, 8 miles indoor cycling, 2 miles treadmill
- Youth: 150 yard swim, 4 miles indoor cycling, 1 mile running track
The Kids Splash and Dash is for children ages 5 to 12 and features short swim segments followed by track runs. Registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes March 4, 2027. Registration fee is $15. Age group distances:
- Ages 5-6: 25 yard swim, 0.29 mile run, 2 track laps
- Ages 7-8: 50 yard swim, 0.41 mile run, 5 track laps
- Ages 9-10: 75 yard swim, 1 mile run, 7 track laps
- Ages 11-12: 100 yard swim, 1.29 mile run, 9 track laps
