Market Square Day 10K
Market Square Day 10K is a road race held as part of the Market Square Day celebration on June 12, 2027. The event takes place in Downtown Portsmouth and is organized by Pro Portsmouth Inc., a 501c(3) nonprofit that supports the citys arts, culture, and history through events and community collaboration.
The starting line is in Market Square in front of the North Church. The course winds through the streets of Portsmouth and finishes at historic Strawbery Banke. Spectators and neighborhood breakfast gatherings are commonly visible along the route.
The race typically draws about 1,000 runners. Since 2005 the Market Square Day 10K has been part of the Seacoast Road Race Series, a group of community races held from May through November that includes events ranging from 5K to 10K and expanded to seven races.
