Run for the Springs - Marion County
The 15th annual Run for the Springs is a community 5K presented by Airport Trail Run at the Marion County Airport in Dunnellon, Florida. The event takes place on the airport tarmac at 14968 SW 110th St, Dunnellon, FL 34432, and includes post-race refreshments and a community atmosphere.
Registered participants receive a T-shirt and a bag of goodies while supplies last. There is a shirt deadline of midnight Friday January 15, 2027. Medals are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age group. Teams may compete for a trophy; the team with the fastest average time of its top three runners is awarded the Traveling Cup.
All proceeds from the Run for the Springs 5K are made available to Marion County residents through septic maintenance reimbursement grants. Two grant types are offered: reimbursement up to $200 for septic system routine maintenance pump-out and inspection, and reimbursement up to $250 toward the permit cost for septic system repairs. Funding for the grant program will be available after Oct. 1.
