Marigold Miles 5K: Día de los Muertos Run
The Marigold Miles 5K is a 5K run/walk taking place in Chickamauga, Georgia, on November 1, 2026. The event is held alongside the Day of the Dead Market in Chickamauga and highlights elements of Día de los Muertos visual culture.
The course distance is 3.1 miles. Registration opens on March 18, 2026 and closes on November 1, 2026. The registration fee is $40.00.
Every participant receives a race t-shirt and a custom finisher medal at the finish line. Awards are presented for Overall Male and Overall Female, as well as the following age groups: 0–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60+. A Best Calavera Look Award is also given for the most creative and respectful representation of the spirit of Día de los Muertos.
Participants are invited to wear sugar skull face paint or traditional-inspired attire to reflect the event theme. The event features bold calavera art, bright colors, and planned moments intended to honor and remember loved ones. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
