Mare Island Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Kid’s 0.5K Dash - Vallejo, CA
The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 27, 2027, on Mare Island in Vallejo, California. Races are hosted at Mare Island Brewing Co., Coal Sheds location, with courses contained entirely on the island and featuring waterfront views and naval history.

The half marathon route goes through the historic naval yard, includes paved and unpaved sections, climbs to the island’s highest point with views of San Pablo Bay and nearby peaks, and follows part of the San Pablo Bay Trail. The 10K passes the Admiral housing area and the bay trail before finishing at the waterfront. The 5K runs near the Old Admiral housing and is noted as suitable for running strollers; dogs are permitted only on the 5K course and must be on a short leash and under owner control. The Kid’s 0.5K is an out-and-back around a historic shipyard crane; children receive a shirt and finisher medal and parents are encouraged to accompany kids ages 6 and under because the course runs near the water.
Pre-registered participants receive a race t-shirt, a finisher medal, and access to a post-race celebration at Mare Island Brewing Co. Awards are given to top three overall and age group finishers when at least five registrants per division are present. Packet pickup is available on June 25, June 26, and race day with later registrants limited to race day pickup. The organizer may make minor course changes for safety.
