Event Overview
The 16th Annual Mardi Gras Madness event takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The event is organized by the Junior Chamber International of Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Track Club. Proceeds benefit JCI Santa Clarita and the Students Off And Running (SOAR) charity. SOAR is a program that provides a free marathon training experience for local youth aged 14 to 18 and is an official featured charity of the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon.

Course & Logistics
The main 5K and 10K course is a USATF-certified, rolling route. It features scenic paseos, bridge overpasses, and sections along the South Fork River Trail. The 10K route includes a section on a dirt equestrian trail. The event starts and finishes at the Valencia Town Center in Valencia, California.
Early packet pickup is available on Saturday, February 28, at the Canyon Club Courtyard in the Valencia Town Center.
Amenities & Activities
Participants in the 5K and 10K receive chip timing, a custom finisher medal, a marathon-quality tech shirt, and a goodie bag. Post-race festivities include a Health & Fitness Expo, a beer garden, food, a costume contest, games, giveaways, a silent auction, and live entertainment. The event is described as family-friendly.
Awards
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K. Age group awards are also presented for the top three in multiple categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
