Marching Warrior 5k
The Marching Warrior 5k is an annual community event organized by the Wayne Music Club. Now in its fifth year, the event takes place at Thomas Cloud Park in Huber Heights, Ohio. Participation is open to those who wish to walk or run the course.
The event features two entry options:
- 5k Run/Walk: A 3.1 mile course held onsite at the park.
- Virtual 5k Run/Walk: A 3.1 mile remote option for participants to complete independently.
Proceeds from the registration fees support the Wayne Marching Band and the Warriorettes. Participants who register by April 13 are guaranteed a commemorative shirt with their entry. Finisher medals are awarded to participants in both the in-person and virtual categories. Competitive recognition is provided for the first-place finishers in both the male and female categories.
For those choosing the virtual format, the distance can be completed at any location. Virtual participants submit their results and photographs online to receive their finisher medal. The onsite race utilizes the outdoor facilities of Thomas Cloud Park, located on Brandt Pike. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
