Event Overview
The 39th Annual March Classic Duathlon is an event on March 22, 2026. It takes place in Central Park, New York, and is described as the organizer's first race of the 2026 season.
Events and Format
The event offers three participation types.
- Duathlon: A standard duathlon open to participants aged 18 and older.
- Team Relay Duathlon: An option for teams.
- Volunteer 1 for 1: A volunteer registration option, with required hours from 4:30 am to 11 am.
Course Details
The race finishes by the Central Park Boat House parking lot. The duathlon follows a run-bike-run format.
Run Course The two run segments are identical, each measuring 2.2 miles. They follow an out-and-back format on Central Park Drive, turning around near the 96th Street Playground. The course features no significant elevation gain other than an initial hill known as the Cat’s Paw.
Bike Course The bike segment consists of two full loops around Central Park Drive, totaling 12 miles. Each loop has an elevation gain of about 250 feet. The park remains open to the public during the event, with course marshals stationed along the route.
