Marathon Relay 2027
Marathon Relay 2027 is a team track event held on Saturday 5 June 2027 at Deeside Athletics Track. Each entry is a team of four runners who complete 106 laps of the 400 m track between them, with one runner from each team on the track at a time.
Teams may divide the laps as they choose, using short turns, longer efforts or a mix of both. Team captains are responsible for submitting accurate entry and team information and for ensuring each teammate meets the event requirements. Participants must be over 18.
The event is organised by Lift Flintshire CIC under Flintshire Run Club. The standard team entry fee is £120 for an adult team. Runner substitutions and transfers are permitted subject to organiser approval and completion of required registration details before the event. Refunds for cancellations are assessed against costs and losses directly resulting from the cancellation; a full refund is not guaranteed. If the organiser cancels the event, entry fees will be refunded; if the event is postponed or materially changed, entrants will be given the choice of revised arrangements or a refund.
Participants are responsible for judging their own fitness and stopping if unwell. All competitors must follow instructions from event officials, marshals and first-aid personnel. The organisers state an aim to make running more inclusive across the local community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
