Seneca Sky Ultra - June 19, 2027
Seneca Sky Ultra is a trail ultramarathon of approximately 45+ miles held in Letchworth State Park. The course runs on both sides of the gorge along the Genesee River and remains largely off paved roads, with about 90% of the route on single track, fields, foot bridges and bridle paths. Runners will encounter long climbs and scenic viewpoints within the park often called the "Grand Canyon of the East."
The event follows an old-school ultrarunning format that expects participants to be largely self-sufficient between support points. There are six fully stocked aid stations positioned on the course; some remote sections require covering up to eight miles between stations. The race course is the successor to an earlier event named Many On The Genny and has been redesigned under its current name.
The event is organized by an experienced team that has been directing trail events since 2012 and that has spent significant time exploring Letchworth trails. Logistics include multiple aid stations spread across the 45+ mile route and a mix of trail surfaces; runners should plan for extended stretches without immediate support.
