The 45 mile course uses both sides of the gorge in Letchworth State Park and is entirely on trail. Surfaces include single track, fields, footbridges, and bridle paths. The route passes several scenic vantage points and includes climbs described as quad busting.
The organizer presents the race in an old school ultramarathon style and notes a need for self sufficient runners. There are five fully stocked aid stations and one water stop distributed along the course. Some remote sections may require covering up to eight to nine miles between aid locations.
