Mankato Marathon - 2026
The Mankato Marathon takes place in Mankato, Minnesota on October 16 and 17, 2026. Presented by Mayo Clinic Health System, the event includes a weekend of races and associated activities. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying race.

Course routes run through Mankato’s trails and urban areas, highlighting the Minnesota River Valley. Organizers note new courses for 2026 and provide course support such as Meds on Bikes and a Sport Psych Team.
Race weekend programming includes an expo, recovery room, packet pick-up, bag drop, spectator information, a post race party, and lodging resources. Volunteer opportunities include cheer teams and sport psych support roles. Registration for the 2026 event opened December 1, 2025.
The event has received regional recognition, including being named a Top Marathon Worth Traveling For in Minnesota.
