Manito Popcorn Festival 5K
The event is scheduled for September 5, 2026, at Veterans Park on Washington Street in Manito, Illinois. It includes timed and untimed options over short distances and a family-friendly dash.
Distances and formats:
- 5K : 3.1 miles on flat blacktop streets, two laps
- 5K Hand Cycle : hand cycle division on the same course
- Popcorn Two Block Dash for Fun : two-block dash with an inflatable costume option ($5 race-day fee)
The 5K course begins and ends at Veterans Park and runs on flat streets. Awards are given to the overall top male and top female by gun time; age group awards go to the top three males and top three females by net time in these divisions: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Age group double dipping is not allowed. The hand cycle division recognizes the top finisher.
Early packet pick-up is available Friday, September 4 at Bernshausen Automotive, 108 N. Washington St., Manito.
