Mangere Bridge Fun Run
The Mangere Bridge FUN Run, Walk, Stroll and Stride is a community event with multiple course options based at Naomi and Bill Kirk Park. The course network uses the Village, Kiwi Esplanade, Ambury Farm and the Mangere Bridge footbridge, with finish lines returning into the event village.
Distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- 21k (half marathon; children under 14 are not permitted)
The event includes on-site activities and amenities at the event village such as a BBQ with sausages from The Village Butchery, a free bouncy castle, face painters, music and spot prizes. Medals are awarded to participants who complete the 21k distance. A bike valet is available for secure bike parking. Organisers provide a quick warm up in the park prior to each start.
Registration is available online through the stated registration period or on the day with higher fees. Online fees when paid before 5pm on 24 September 2026 are listed per distance and age category, and higher on-the-day fees apply. All participants must check in at registration on the day to receive a race number for safety and eligibility for spot prizes.
Courses are marked with coloured ribbons for each distance and use managed road crossings with marshals at key points such as Mahunga Drive, Hastie Avenue, Crawford Avenue and Miro Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
