About the race
The Harcourts Cooper & Co Hobsonville Half Marathon is a coastal running event held at War Memorial Park, Hobsonville Point on Sunday, 17 January 2027 with a rain date of Sunday, 24 January 2027. The event offers multiple distances on a single day and uses a single-lap layout for the half marathon that includes a full circumnavigation of Herald Island and sections through Hobsonville Point and Whenuapai.
Distances
- 21 km Half Marathon, single lap including Herald Island
- 10 km featuring the Little Loop and Buckley Ave
- 5 km shortened route using highlights of the 10 km course
- 2 km Kids Dash starting under the main arch
The venue is a large sports field beside a supermarket and cafes, with the finish area on the north western quadrant of the reserve. Course maps and downloadable PDFs are provided for each distance. Aid stations are spaced approximately every 3 to 5 km and serve water at the first table and an electrolyte drink at the second table. A Gear Drop area is available as an uncovered self service tent with a separate Key Drop container and an all care no responsibility baggage policy. Event portaloos are located toward the rear of the reserve and additional toilets may be listed on individual race pages.
All registered participants receive a finisher medal and a post race refuel item such as a banana or snack bar. Results are updated in real time and spot prizes are drawn during an awards ceremony, with presence and a registration mat required to be eligible.
