Macclesfield Running Festival
Macclesfield Running Festival takes place on Sunday 18 October 2026 in Macclesfield, starting and finishing in the town and using Macclesfield Leisure Centre’s athletics track. The event features a single, professionally measured and marked loop that goes onto surrounding Cheshire countryside roads and is described as fully road closed.

Each kilometre on the course is marked with distance flags. The event uses chip timing and offers a unique themed medal, free race photos and post-race goodies. Aid stations are placed on the course and marshals are present to guide and encourage participants.
The finish area includes an event village with food and drink options and free items from partner brands. Live performances from local bands are scheduled during the event and communities of spectators provide roadside support. The event lists partnerships with local clubs including Macclesfield Harriers AC and with running and nutrition brands.
