The Macclesfield Running Festival takes place in the historic town of Macclesfield and the surrounding Cheshire countryside. The event features three different distances on fully closed roads, providing a secure environment for all participants.

The courses consist of a single loop that is professionally marked and measured. Participants begin and end their race at the Macclesfield Leisure Centre athletics track. The route transitions from the town sights onto surrounding countryside roads. Along the course, each kilometer is marked with distance flags, and marshals are positioned to provide guidance.
Participants can expect a flat and scenic route supported by aid stations and local spectators, including members of the Macclesfield Harriers AC. Live performances from local bands take place during the event to provide entertainment. At the finish line, an event village offers various food and drink options.
The registration includes chip-timed results, a unique themed medal, and free professional race photos. Participants also receive post-race goodies from event partners.
