MammothMarch Indiana 2027
After three sold-out years in a row, the event returns to Versailles State Park on June 19, 2027. The format is a single-circuit route that covers 20 miles through the park’s trails and roads. The route stays inside Versailles State Park and the final course will be published about two weeks before the event.
The route surface is mainly unpaved hiking trails, bridle and dirt trails, gravel roads, and forest floor. Total elevation gain is around 1,200 ft. Aid and refreshment stations are placed approximately every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, bars, PBJ sandwiches and other food and drink options; these refreshments are included in the ticket cost. Complimentary parking will be available on site.
There is no formal timekeeping; participants completing the distance are awarded a finisher medal and a place on the event’s wall of fame. Certificates are issued to all finishers and to participants who stop early, with the covered mileage noted. MammothMarch Hiking Passes will be available for new participants, and returning participants can collect 2027 stamps on site if they bring their pass. Merchandise may be ordered for pick up on event day or shipped from the official online shop.
