The Four on the Fourth is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Batesville, Indiana. The event base is Liberty Park at 716 S Park Ave, Batesville, IN 47006. The race program includes these distances:
- 4 Mile Run
- 4 Mile Walk
Course and logistics
The course uses Batesville Parks paved trail system and is described as easy and mostly flat with asphalt surfaces. The route begins at Liberty Park, goes through Brum Woods, returns past Liberty Park, continues through The Plex and Bill Gillespie Soccer Park toward the YMCA, and finishes back at Liberty Park. Entry, awards and activities
Entry fees are listed at two levels: $30 and $35. The $30 option includes a t-shirt; t-shirts are not guaranteed at the higher fee. All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Overall male and female awards are given for both the run and the walk. The organizer, Every Sole Counts, is a newly created organization with a mission to support Special Needs Athletes by providing running gear tailored to individual needs. Additional on-site activities include a most-patriotic costume contest and a 50/50 split-the-pot raffle with proceeds benefiting Every Sole Counts.
