MammothMarch Arkansas : Pinnacle Mountain State Park
MammothMarch Arkansas is a single-day hiking event held on March 6, 2027, at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Roland, Arkansas. The course is a single-circuit loop of 20 miles, routed on remote and scenic park trails including Ouachita, Jackfork, and Rocky Valley Trail. Total elevation gain for the route is around 2,300 ft.
The event does not use competitive timekeeping; participants are recognized for completing the distance. Organizers provide staggered starts with a maximum of five hikers departing together to maintain a remote hiking experience. Aid and refreshment stations are placed approximately every 5 to 7 miles and include toilets plus a variety of food and drinks such as water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, cereal or protein bars, and PBJ sandwiches. These refreshments are included in the ticket cost.
Parking is complimentary on site. All finishers receive a personalized certificate and a finisher medal; participants who leave early receive a certificate indicating the mileage covered. MammothMarch Hiking Passes will be available for new participants, and returning participants may present existing passes to collect 2027 event stamps.
