Mammoth Cave 50K/25K
The Mammoth Cave 50K/25K is a pair of trail races held at Mammoth Cave National Park on October 24, 2026. The course uses the Bike & Hike Trail, a crushed gravel out and back route through wooded parkland that includes ascents and descents along the way.
Distances
- 50K, which requires running the out and back twice.
- 25K, which requires running the out and back once.
Registration opens April 29, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026. Entry fees are listed as $85 for the 50K and $65 for the 25K. National Park permit limits currently cap entries at 150 runners, with possible adjustments between distances depending on permit approval and demand.
This is a cupless event. Runners must provide their own collapsible cup, bottle, or hydration pack for refills. Aid stations will supply water, sports drink, and snacks. A hard cutoff of eight hours applies to both distances; race-day activities will wind down after the posted cutoff and finishers who arrive later should expect fewer on-course personnel and spectators.
