Sustainable Glasgow's 5th Annual Homegrown 5k is scheduled for April 25, 2026 in Glasgow, Kentucky. The race is chip timed and includes age group awards. The course begins at Yancey's Patio in downtown Glasgow, travels through local neighborhoods and the South Green corridor, and finishes back on the Square. Proceeds will benefit Sustainable Glasgow and will supplement the Double Dollars program for the Bounty of the Barrens Farmers' Market. The event coincides with the return of the Bounty of the Barrens Farmers' Market to the Square.
Logistics and additional information
The listed entry fee is $25; the fee increases after March 1, 2026. Packet pickup and in-person registration are scheduled for the evening before the race at First Christian Church, 1100 N. Race St, and day-of registration and packet pickup are listed at Yancey's Patio. To guarantee a t-shirt in a chosen size, registration is advised before April 1. A new route was introduced for 2025 and an interactive course map is available. Restrooms will be available. Age groups for awards are: 9-under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65+. Volunteer opportunities are mentioned. The event location is 115 W.
