Malvern Midsummer Marathon

The event takes place on Saturday 20 June 2026 and is organised by LDWA - Heart Of England. The event headquarters is Colwall Village Hall, Mill Ln, Malvern WR13 6EQ (grid ref SO750420; what3words: transmits.prettiest.shrimps). Entries open 31 October 2025 and close 12 June 2026. Entry fees listed are £18.00 for LDWA members and £26.00 for non-members. Registration is via the SiEntries system; entries so far show 6 participants.

Course and event services

The event offers two route options:

  • 27 miles - full route covering all Malvern Hills, approximately 5000 ft ascent, 4 checkpoints.
  • 15 miles - route to Black Hill with climbs, 2 checkpoints.

Both routes pass through Cradley, Mathon, Colwall and Evendine. The longer route additionally goes via Oyster Hill, Ledbury and Bromsberrow and follows the main ridge from British Camp after the northern Malverns. Surfaces are mainly tracks and paths. Checkpoints provide a variety of snacks and drinks. A hot meal and pudding are available at the finish; participants should bring their own mug as none will be provided at checkpoints or the finish.
