Maldon 5k Handicap Series
The Maldon 5k Handicap Series is a five race handicap event held at Maldon Promenade Park and organised by Tiptree Road Runners. The series takes place on Thursday evenings and comprises five 5 km races held across spring and early summer.
Entry covers the full five race series. The event is open to runners who can complete 5 km in 40 minutes or less. Entries for 2026 opened on 14 February 2026 and the series sold out in six minutes; an official waiting list is maintained and places released by withdrawals are offered in waiting list order. Withdrawn places that are taken from the waiting list are eligible for a refund. No deferrals to 2027 are available.
Entry fees for 2026 were £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non affiliated runners, with a small booking fee of approximately £1 added at checkout. Runners may make a voluntary donation during registration or afterwards. A donation from the event profits will be given to Maldon and District Sea Cadets.
Race dates in 2026 are 23 April, 14 May, 04 June, 25 June and 16 July. The series is held under UKA rules licence number 30553 and the course has a Certificate of Course Accuracy 23/088. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
