Mainly Marathons Southwest Series
The Mainly Marathons Southwest Series is a six day race series held November 8 through November 13, 2026, across six Southwestern states. Each day features a looped course in a different host town: Farmington New Mexico; Durango Colorado; Bluff Utah; Flagstaff Arizona; Laughlin Nevada; and Nipton California. Participants may run any number of races in the series and special medals are awarded for completing all six days.

- Full marathon
- Half marathon
- 50K
- 10K
- 5K
Packet pickup is available the day before the series at the Day 1 start location in Farmington NM (coordinates N 36.73304 W 108.18651). Race day packet pickup and registration are available at each start line with an earlier option for early starters. The event follows a no runner left behind approach; marathons and shorter races have no fixed time limit subject to park closing hours and participants should allow time to finish at least 30 minutes before a park closes. The final day of the series has a ten hour time limit.
Course notes by day include surface type tentative lap counts and estimated elevation gain per lap. Examples: Farmington gravel and pavement approx 12 laps 39 feet gain per lap; Durango paved path 12 laps 76 feet; Bluff mixed surfaces 16 laps 72 feet; Flagstaff crushed gravel 12 laps 52 feet; Laughlin paved path 12 laps 85 feet; Nipton flat asphalt 18 laps 64 feet.
A single central aid station supplies a range of foods and drinks and a mobile kitchen called Loony Lunchbox is present. All participants receive a shirt a Starter Medal a Year Tab and a State Medal for each state completed. A Series Finisher medal is awarded for completing all days and a caboose medal is given to the final finisher of each marathon and half marathon.
