Event Overview
The Southwest Series is a multi-day running event taking place from November 8 to November 13, 2026. The series consists of six races held in six different states over six consecutive days. Participants have the flexibility to run any number of races within the series, which visits New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Each day features a multi-loop course designed to be accessible for both runners and walkers.
The event locations include:
- Day 1: Farmington, New Mexico at Berg Park River Trail (gravel, pavement, and pavers).
- Day 2: Durango, Colorado at Santa Rita Park (smooth paved path with moderate hills).
- Day 3: Bluff, Utah at the Community Center (pavement, gravel, and hard-packed dirt).
- Day 4: Flagstaff, Arizona at Buffalo Park (crushed gravel).
- Day 5: Laughlin, Nevada at River Walk Trail (paved path with a short gravel section).
- Day 6: Nipton, California near Primm Valley Golf Club (flat asphalt).
Available distances each day include:
- 50K
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
There are no time limits for any of the distances, and walkers are encouraged to participate. The event utilizes a central aid station because of the looped course format, providing a variety of food and drinks including fruit, sandwiches, hot coffee, and warm meals from a mobile kitchen.
Participants receive a shirt and several medals for each race completed, including a state-specific medal. Those who complete all six days earn a bonus series finisher medal.
