Maine Potato Blossom Festival Five-Mile Road Race
The Maine Potato Blossom Five-Mile Road Race is held in Fort Fairfield during the Maine Potato Blossom Festival. The course covers five miles and runs along town streets, local roads, and through the potato fields around Fort Fairfield. The event location is 206 Main St., Fort Fairfield, ME 04742.
The in-person race is part of the 2026 Crown of Maine Race Series and uses a 10-point scoring system for series placement. Points are awarded by finishing position, with 10 points for first place, 8 points for second, 7 points for third, and descending thereafter. Each runner receives one bonus point for each race finished. Series rules require points scored in at least six of the ten races. Overall male and female winners and age-division winners are determined by the highest point totals across the series. Awards are given to the top two finishers in each age group. A runner’s age group is based on their age on the day of the first series race they run.
There is also a virtual Five-Mile option. Registration details from the organizer list a $25 fee for the in-person race and a $30 fee for the virtual option; the virtual fee includes an additional $5 for shipping of an event t-shirt. Virtual participants are not eligible to earn points in the Crown of Maine Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
