About the race
RUNNER'S EDGE MAIN STREET MILE takes place on 09/05/2026 in Farmingdale, New York, on a USATF certified 1 mile course along Main Street. Proceeds support the Companions In Courage Foundation, whose mission is to build "Lion's Den" interactive playrooms in children's hospitals across North America.
The event program includes several race options and entry fees: The Elite Field is by application; approved elite racers receive a password to register and there is no elite registration fee. The in-person Main Street Mile has a registration fee of $29.00. A Kids Fun Run is offered with a $13.00 fee. A Virtual Mile option is available with a $34.00 fee. A combined Main Street Mile & After Party entry is offered for $35.00 and includes access to the post-race fundraiser.
The post-race fundraiser is held at The Tap Room, 206 Main St, Farmingdale, NY 11735. The party package includes one free post-race beer, a buffet lunch, soft drinks, and a cash bar; additional activities listed include a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and live music by the SpiTunes. Donations from non-runners are noted as appreciated.
The event has an associated Team Courage fundraising campaign; raising $160 or more unlocks additional Team Courage amenities. The race has supported Companions In Courage for more than two decades and has contributed to helping over one million hospitalized children.
