About the race
Maiden New Ten is a village 10K race organised by Maiden Newton Runners on 21 July 2027 from The Community Centre, Chilfrome Lane, Maiden Newton, DT2 0AX. The event is a 10K running event on a fully signed and marshalled course.
The route runs through varied terrain in the Dorset countryside surrounding Maiden Newton. The race holds an Association of Running Clubs permit ARC/27/0047 and has St John Ambulance staff on site for medical support. Race headquarters offers car parking, toilets, refreshments and a baggage drop.
Entry fees are published for ARC members at £16 and non club members at £18. Participants must be 16 or older to compete. There are no entries on the day. The field is capped at 220 runners and the entry deadline is midnight on 20 July 2027. Refunds and referrals are not available, but transfers between runners can be managed via the organiser's online account.
Every finisher receives a medal. Prizes are awarded to first, second and third placed male and female finishers, with additional age category awards for 45 plus, 55 plus and 65 plus in both sexes. A post race cake sale and a portion of entry fees support local charities; 2026 donations were made to village defibrillator upkeep and Maiden Newton youth football club.
