Event Overview
The Magnolia Run is an annual running event taking place in the town of Magnolia Springs, Alabama. The event features several distances:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5K Wheelchair
The course is USATF-certified and described as scenic, passing by oak canopies, azaleas, and historic homes. The event is open to strollers and dogs. It typically welcomes around 300 participants.
Awards and Finisher Recognition
Awards are presented for multiple categories across the different events. For the 5K Run, awards are given three places deep in each age group, spanning from 10 & under to 80+, as well as to top overall, masters, grand masters, senior grand masters, and wheelchair finishers. Awards for the 5K Walk are also three deep per age group. All participants in the 1 Mile Fun Run receive a participation medal, with additional awards for age group placements.
Post-Race and Logistics
After the event, participants can enjoy music and food provided by Jesse's Restaurant. The race starts and ends at Jesse's Restaurant on Oak Street. The awards ceremony is held inside the Magnolia Springs Community Hall.
Packet pick-up is offered on a Saturday before the race at the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce in Foley, and also on race morning at the Magnolia Springs Community Hall.
