Barnwell Community Spud Run
The Barnwell Community Spud Run is a one-day fundraising event on November 14, 2026, held at the Barnwell Community Center, 13319 County Road 3, Fairhope, AL 36532. Proceeds support restoration efforts at the Barnwell Community Center.
The program includes a 5K road race on rural paved roads with slight hills and a 1 mile fun run that follows a loop near the community center. Event options and fees are listed for participants and supporters: the 5K entry is $30 with a shirt included; the fun run has a $20 option that includes a shirt and a no-cost option without a shirt; a tee shirt only option is available for $20. A student entry for the 5K is offered at no cost and does not include a shirt. Participants who register by November 1 are guaranteed a tee shirt on race day.
Race day registration and packet pick-up take place at the Barnwell Community Center in the morning. The event also features the Butts, Spuds & Brews Festival with local arts and crafts vendors, live music, brews and BBQ, spud-themed food, and children’s activities such as bounce houses and face painting.
