Event details
The Midwest Financial Group Madison Mini Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026. The race base is Memorial Union Terrace, 800 Langdon St, Madison, WI 53703. The event includes these distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Kids Run
Half and 5K start and finish are on N Park St (just past Science Hall). The Kids Run start line is at Park and University, marked by an inflatable arch.
Course, post-race and services
The course passes Capitol Square, the Dane County Farmer’s Market, State Street, Camp Randall Stadium, the Kohl Center, the Arboretum, and the UW campus. The post-race 14th Mile Party takes place at the Memorial Union Terrace with views of Lake Mendota, live music, food available for purchase, non-alcoholic options, and one complimentary beer for participants 21+, courtesy of Wisconsin Distributors.
Race entries include a fully sublimated unisex tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, finisher snacks, professional race timing, free participant tracking, free digital race photos, a post-race highlight video, indoor pre-race warm-up area and restrooms, pacers for the half marathon, nearby parking, and access to race merchandise.
