Mad Meadows 50
Mad Meadows is a trail running event offering 50k and 50-mile distances. It takes place on October 10, 2026, near Leavenworth, Washington. The start and finish are at the Grouse Creek Group Campground on Chiwawa River Road.
The course features alpine ridgelines and runs through golden larch trees in October. The routes include smooth single track, steep climbs, and technical sections. The 50k course reaches elevations over 6000 feet, while the 50-mile course tops out over 7000 feet. Views include the Entiat River Valley to the east and the glaciated slopes of Clark Mountain and Dakobed (Glacier Peak) to the west.
The event is cupless, requiring runners to carry their own refillable containers. Post-race, there is hearty, hot food and drinks at the finish line.
