Mad Meadows 50k/50M
Mad Meadows is a high-elevation trail event held near Leavenworth, Washington, organized by Evergreen Trail Runs. The next scheduled race date is October 9, 2027. The start and finish are at Grouse Creek Group Campground on Chiwawa River Road. The course tops out above 7000 ft and offers views east into the Entiat River Valley and west toward Clark Mountain and Dakobed (Glacier Peak).
The terrain combines smooth singletrack along the Mad River, long technical sections, steep climbs, pumice slopes, talus fields, and alpine ridgelines framed by golden larches. The course is remote in places and includes multiple aid stations and hike-in aid at Mad Meadows.

Race logistics note that pacers are not allowed. Crew may meet runners at Rock Creek, Basalt, Chikamin, and Entiat aid stations; aid is allowed only at designated stations. Drop bags are available at Basalt and Chikamin for 50-mile runners and at Chikamin for 50K runners. The event is cupless; all runners must carry a refillable container.

- 50-mile: headlamp, light rain or wind jacket, 2 L water capacity, course GPS on device.
- 50K: light rain or wind jacket, 1 L water capacity, course GPS on device.
The event takes place on lands historically inhabited by the Np̓əšqʷáw̓səxʷ / Wenatchi and Yakama and operates under a special use permit with the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Youth and senior registrants (22 and under, 65 and over) are eligible for a 15% registration discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
