Course, facilities and event features
The routes head into countryside outside Faversham and include multi-terrain sections, country lanes, paths and valley views. Reports from past events describe a mix of trail and road, some muddy or uneven sections, noticeable hills and some single-track sections at the start that can cause congestion. Some participants have reported occasional navigation issues where extra signage or marshals would help.
On-site facilities listed for the venue include toilets, free parking and refreshments. Macknade provides an outdoor food village, a café, food tastings and tastings of wine, beer and cider. The event also features live music after the race.
Entry and eligibility
Entry fees vary by distance and entry type. For the 10k the listed fees are advanced entries of £23 (affiliated) and £25 (unaffiliated), with on-the-day entry listed at £30 (subject to space). For the half marathon the listed fees are advanced entries of £28 (affiliated) and £30 (unaffiliated), with on-the-day entry listed at £35 (subject to space).
