LYSB Midsummer 5K

The LYSB Midsummer 5K takes place in Old Lyme Village on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The event starts at the Lymes' Youth Service Bureau at 59 Lyme Street and follows a fast, flat road course through village streets. Packet pick up is available the day before the race.

5K Run and Walk, fast and flat road course
Kids K, short fun run for children

The event supports Lymes' Youth Service Bureau programs for youth and families in mental wellness, drug and alcohol prevention, positive youth development, juvenile justice, early childhood, and social services. Chip timing is provided by Fast Track Timing for 5K runners only. Commemorative T shirts are available for the first 200 registered participants and finisher medals are provided to all finishers.

Entry fees published for the 5K are $30 for adults and $15 for youth 18 and under; the Kids K fee is $10. Awards recognize the overall top three men and women and winners in these age divisions: Youth 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
