LV5K & 1 Mile Walk/Run : Alexandria, LA
The LV5K & 1 Mile Walk/Run takes place on April 4, 2026, at Alexandria Senior High (800 Ola St., Alexandria, LA 71303). The event is a memorial walk/run to remember people who lost their lives to impaired driving. Funds raised will go to a memorial scholarship at NSU for the Accelerated BS to BSN Program and to raising awareness about drunk and impaired driving.
Events, registration and awards
In-person options include a 1 Mile and a 5K. Additional participation options listed are a virtual 5K, a Sleep In option, and an Ainsley’s Angels entry. Packet pickup is available the day before at Little Cakes with Big Attitude (4120 Jackson St., Alexandria, LA 71303) and also on race day before the races. Registrations received by 11:59 p.m. on March 15 will receive a shirt at packet pickup; late and race day registrants may receive shirts if extras remain. Race entry prices increase on March 23, 2026. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female and for individual age groups in both the 5K and 1-mile in-person races.
