LV5K & 1 Mile Walk/Run
This memorial walk and run takes place on April 4, 2026 at the Alexandria Senior High School football field in Alexandria, LA. A memorial foundation organizes the event to remember and honor victims of impaired driving and to raise awareness about drunk and impaired driving.
Proceeds support a memorial scholarship at NSU for the Accelerated BS to BSN program, intended to benefit future nurses. The event offers several ways to take part, including in-person and remote options.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Little Cakes with Big Attitude, 4120 Jackson St., Alexandria, and on the event day before the races begin. Awards are given for first, second, and third overall male and female and for individual age groups in both the 5K and the 1 mile in-person races. Age groups are listed separately for each distance. There will be an awards ceremony after the 5K. Medals are limited. Registrations completed by March 15 receive a shirt at packet pickup. Prices increase March 23, 2026.
