About the race
The fourth annual Lumbee Tribe of NC Fall Festival 5k and Fun Run is scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 638 Terry Sanford Drive, Maxton, North Carolina. The event includes multiple distance options and is presented as part of the Fall Festival.
Distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5k) timed - competitive division requiring a timing device on the bib.
- 3.1 Miles (5k) non timed - non competitive run/walk with no bib timing.
- 1 Mile walk - non timed and free.
Registration opens June 17, 2026 and closes September 30, 2026. Fee levels listed for the event are early registration $20, senior citizens (ages 55 and up) $15, and race day $25; the 1 Mile walk is free. Pre-registration includes a T-shirt only for those who register before the event. Mail-in registration is offered. Prizes and giveaways are available for registered participants.
Awards are planned for overall oldest male and female, youngest male and female, first place overall male and female, and age group awards for male and female in these groups: 1-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
