Lula Lake Trail Blazer - November 14, 2026
The Lula Lake Trail Blazer is a trail running event in Lookout Mountain, GA organized by Lula Lake Land Trust. It offers multiple race distances that use trails on Lula Lake properties and directs event proceeds to trail construction and maintenance.
The courses use sections of the Moonshine Trails, Cloudland Connector Trail, Durham Mine Trails, and the Core Preserve. Notable features on the routes include two waterfalls, a bluff overlook, and stretches along Rock Creek. Elevation gain by distance: the 10K has about 630 ft, the half marathon more than 1,400 ft, and the 50K about 5,000 ft. The 50K follows the half-marathon route for roughly the first 10 miles before continuing to the Nickajack section and returning to the Core Preserve; runners pass the Nickajack Trailhead twice.
Distances:
- 50K
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- Kids 12 & Under - 1 mile
Aid on the 50K includes six aid stations plus one light aid station; the first is at mile 7 and most are spaced about 3–4 miles apart, with a longest gap near 5 miles. Most aid stations provide water, Tailwind, Coke, sandwiches, salty snacks, fruit, and trail mix; one station provides only water but is under 2 miles from the next.
Additional details: a kids fun run on gravel road includes simple obstacles and allows parents to run with children. There are camping and beer-mile add-ons; the beer mile is restricted to participants 21 and older. The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfers; deferrals are limited. Registration closes Nov 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Packet pick-up details are to be announced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
