Lula Lake Trail Blazer
The Lula Lake Trail Blazer is a trail race at Lula Lake Land Trust in Lookout Mountain, GA on November 14, 2026. The event offers multiple course options and directs proceeds to the land trust's trail maintenance and construction efforts.
Distances:
- 50K, follows the half marathon for the first ~10 miles, then continues to Nickajack and High Point, about 5,000 ft elevation gain
- Half Marathon, climbs through Core Preserve and Moonshine Trails with about 1,400 ft elevation gain
- 10K, passes waterfalls, a bluff overlook, and Rock Creek with about 630 ft elevation gain
- Kids 12 & Under, one mile fun run on gravel road with obstacles, parents may join
Course notes: courses use single-track trails in the Core Preserve, Moonshine Trails, and related systems. Much of the back half of the 50K is on private property and cannot be accessed before race day. Hiking poles are allowed.
Aid stations: the 50K has six aid stations and one light aid station, with the first at mile 7; most are spaced about 3–4 miles apart and the longest gap is 5 miles. Except for aid station 5, stations are stocked with water, Tailwind, soda, sandwiches, salty snacks, fruit, and trail mix.
Logistics: registration tiers and add-ons were listed by the organizer and include camping and a beer mile option. There are no refunds or transfers; deferrals are offered only in certain medical situations. The event proceeds support trail work and conservation. Packet pick-up details are to be announced.
