Courses, aid, and logistics
The courses use Lula Lake trail systems and single-track trails through the Core Preserve and Moonshine Trails. Elevation gains listed are: 10K: 630 ft, Half Marathon: >1,400 ft, 50K: ~5,000 ft. The 50K follows the half route for about 10 miles, continues to the Nickajack section of the CCT, and returns to the Core Preserve; runners pass the Nickajack Trailhead twice. There are eight aid stations on the 50K, with the first at mile 7 and most spaced every 3-4 miles; the longest gap is about 5 miles. All aid stations except one provide a range of items such as water, Tailwind, sodas, sandwiches, salty snacks, fruits, and some gels. The race is held rain or shine; very severe weather may cause a delay or reschedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
